Starting Image; Photography self portrait of himself "Alexander McQueen". The skull, his icon image and double cigarette gives an eery sense of impending doom.

For this image I edited the coin in pixlr and embossed to give a deeper more metallic effect. The use of coins reminds me of the old greek mythology story of when a person was deceased two coins are often placed over the eyes or one in the mouth to pay the "Charon" the ferryman of Hades who carries to newly deceased over the passage river. It is said if one was left with no coin or couldn't pay the passage fee they would be left to wander the shores as a restless soul for eternity.
Edited image of Alexander McQueen in pixlr using filter Glamour Glow; I like the angelic but eery quaility this gives to the deceased designer.
Completed Motif; This is my completed motif, I chose to use the red watercolour images and layer two of my embossed coins in each corner. I really like how this has turned out as I feel it is bright and eyecatching and relates to the years of my cards.
Completed Cards ; These are my completed cards. Front and Back. I made a grid in Microsoft Publisher and inserted my images entered my questions and answers.
I also tried to print them double sided however I was unable to line them up correctly and the motifs are Upside down, but I know for next time how to approach printing my cards.
My final cards can be found in my folder.
I'm really pleased with how these turned out and I think they look very appealing.
